A VA hospital is desperately needed here....those vets and dependents should not have to travel so far when they are sick.

I hope this help to get something done . They want me to drive on old "Coal Truck Roads" to get to an Outpatient Clinic . For safety reasons and to save time I drive to Lexington but give up 1/2 of my Travel Pay ! It DOES NOT make any sense . I schedule My mental Health appts on the same day as my Prime care appts to save the Taxpayers money . If I did what they want I'd have to go 2 different directions and cost twice the money ! It Does Not make sense !!!

My husband is a Purple Heart, 100% disabled Vietnam vet..we have to trvel to Huntington for X-rays, glasses, colonscopy and other services....TOO MUCH traveling..gas too high, too much time on the road and in the winter IMPOSSIBLE!!!! We need a hospital close by!!!!!!!!!

My son's dad is currently in the Va hospital in Huntington, W Va. He lives at Elkhorn City. He had problems with his circulation in his legs, and had to travel to Huntington to get medical care. He had a foot amputated, and it is so far away that he doesn't get many visitors. Please, PLEASE build us a VA hospital in our area!!!!!

I work for the VA hospital in Lexington, KY and it is too small and too far away to serve the veterans of Eastern, and Southern KY along with Central KY.
